The Three Love Tests

Print I Love U builds its entire middle section around three short "love tests," each one a small mini-game standing in for a different stage of a relationship. Here's what each one actually involves.

Test One: Holding Hands

The first test is framed around a simple gesture of closeness — holding hands — and plays as the gentlest of the three, easing you into the game's mini-game format before it asks for anything more involved.

Test Two: Shopping and Style

The second test turns into a shopping trip, framed as proving how well you know someone's taste and style. It's presented as a lighter, more playful test than the other two, in keeping with the game's early "sweet dating sim" tone before the story starts to turn.

Test Three: Two Hearts Beating as One

The final test is a rhythm challenge: an accelerating heartbeat plays, and you need to click in time with it to match the rhythm as it speeds up. This is the most mechanically involved of the three tests, though the game is tagged as playable without quick-time events, so there's no hard fail state that cuts the story short if your timing is off.

None of the three tests require precision beyond what the game itself teaches you in the moment — the real decision isn't how well you play them, but whether you try to pass them at all. See All Endings Explained for why that choice matters more than your performance.

Why the Tests Exist at All

The three tests are framed in-story as the game's narrator trying to convince Alice Print that the two of them would make a good couple — small, earnest proofs of compatibility. Passing all three plays that premise completely straight. The twist is what passing them actually unlocks, which is where the endings guide picks up.

However you approach the three love tests, the game wants you to try at least once before you learn what the result actually means — part of why most players' first instinct is to simply play to win.
